For senior citizens, Medicare covers the cost of home health services provided by Metro Home Health Care. In general, Medicare offers premium-free (no deductible) coverage for most individuals after they turn 65 years of age by paying for home health care services as needed.

To receive coverage for home health benefits under Medicare, an individual must be under the care of a physician, be homebound during the course of treatment, and require part-time intermittent skilled services.

Home health services are also eligible to be covered by Medicaid, private insurance and other private funding options. However, these options may have additional criteria that must be met to receive coverage.
